As the proliferation of online courses and programs continues to grow and become accepted at institutions across the country, many administrators and instructors are being asked to embark on unfamiliar territory when it comes to designing and implementing online courses. Whether the courses are entirely new offerings or online versions of formerly face-to-face classes, the challenges are many. Gone are the days when a face-to-face course can simply be “copied” online without some basic, or even drastic, changes to accommodate online learners. Panelists in this session share their expertise in online course design, delivery, review, and certification for graduate and undergraduate courses through Quality Matters online course certification programs, as well as institutionally focused quality assurance efforts.
